I’ve decided to somewhat retire my sneaker collection…but while I was shooting some content in downtown Miami at Shoe Gallery (thanks for the hook up Danny!) for an upcoming project, I couldn’t pass on these. I don’t have too many dunks, most of my collection consists of Limited Edition Blazers, but I like the ombre/gradient patent and since they were skinny hi’s, I figured “one last pair” won’t hurt!
I literally fell in love with this HANNE BLOCH bikini the moment I saw it!! You know that “I have to have that” moment??? and then you look at the price tag…gasp! So then you put it down, walk around the store to find something else, something that you will love “just as much”, but that’s a little less pricey?
You keep walking, picking up things, trying them on…but all the while you are still thinking of the item you saw when you first walked in?!
Well, I broke down…but I LOVE IT!!! So…at the end of the day, does price really matter if you really (I mean really) love something???
…………..Limo-scene…………………………………………………..Baby’s Breath………………………….
One question I get asked pretty much on a daily basis is…”what nail polish are you wearing?” My standard “go-to” polish is Essie “Limo-scene”. It’s THE best neutral shade and it looks good on everyone! “Baby’s breath” runs a close second…except when I switch up for a french!
Item of the Week: I stumbled upon these while in Miami a few days ago…I love the yellow pair, although they also come in red and in gold. These are a re-release of a best-selling Cazal frame that was discontinued in 1996. $750 - ouch!
Where to stay: The girls and I headed down to Miami Beach for Kenny Mac’s bday…stayed at the newly renovated (fab) Fountainebleu. Thank you Dave Grutman!!! It was a bit “Vegas-like” and I usually like to stay in a smaller hotel but the pools definitely made up for it. We headed over to the Eden Roc to hang with the crew and visit the bday boy - Miami Vice’s poolside!
Paula Miranda, Michelle Ten…me!
Kenny Mac & Paula Miranda
Where to shop: Atrium… my favorite spot for bikinis in the U.S.! Definitely stop by Barney’s Co-Op, Leo and Intermix…
Where to eat: Prime Italian on 1st/Collins… the latest addition by the owner of Prime 112. Essentially a similar menu, but with amazing Italian dishes. Don’t forget the garlic bread - insane!
What to eat: Truffle Fries/ Truffled Mac&Cheese/ Branzino/ Filet Mignon/ Lamb Shank - Prime Italian
I took my lil girl (who’s actually not so little anymore-yes I had her when I was 10 as well) and two of her best friends to a taping of BET’s 106 & Park a few days ago…my good friend Chris Gilmore took very
good care of the girls!!!
Red carpet treatment all the way, lol. We didn’t actually know who the guests were until we got
there - but the girls were ecstatic that it was Jaime Foxx and Kanye West! Plus they got a ton of
“camera time” on-air… if only they knew how good they have it. Mom of the year award - you will
soon be mine.
I stopped by the Siwy Fall preview and sample sale with Stylist Michelle Ten on Tuesday…the cupcakes from Crumb were more than a little distracting. There was over 20 different types of mini cupcakes - clearly I couldn’t keep going back to try each flavor (although I wanted to), but i’m definitely going to order the taste pack and lock myself in my apartment where no one can see me hoard them all to myself!
Extra Virgin (West Village) 259 West 4th St. Manhattan
Still one of my favorite neighborhood spots for lunch…I haven’t been in such a long time, so I decided to stop by in between appointments. The eggs benedict was so yummy!!
