This year MANGO presents a swimwear collection with two clearly differentiated lines: retro-romantic and sophisticated. To give summer that retro feel, the brand is proposing a return to culottes, bandeaus and washed cotton, as well as more romantic models in florals, spots and crochet, with some ruffle finishes.

Australian swimwear label, Jemma Jube, has teamed up with Topshop with an exclusive limited edition capsule collection. With a cheeky nod to retro pink flicks and citing influences such as Fellini, Fosse and Peggy Bundy, Jemma Jube swimwear has a vintage glamour twist and retro pin-up girl looks. Jemma Jube will be available at Topshop stores in Spring 2010…can’t wait!!

Where to shop: Clearly Century 21 is no secret…but it’s still one of the greatest discount department stores for brand name items we have in the city. It’s a complete tourist trap and the only time I recommend even attempting to enter the store would be early in the morning (when they’ve re-set the floor) and during the week. Just last week I picked up some great Cosabella and Felina lingerie at prices you wouldn’t believe, plus a great Marc Jacobs Anorak…but DON’T even attempt to shop on the weekend - you’ve been warned. So set your alarm, get there early…and arm yourself with your ipod and a lot of patience lol.

For his Spring/Summer 2010 show, Alexander Wang introduced a football feel to the clothing and sunglasses to his product offerings. Four additional are styles being produced with Linda Farrow (the ultra-chic British eyewear brand that’s done collaborations with uber-hip designers ranging from Yohji Yamamoto and Dries Van Noten to Matthew Williamson and Raf Simons), but i’m loving this zipper-accented model. I already have the collabo with Matthew Williamson, but I may have to pick these up as well!!

I had the pleasure of sitting and chatting with former magazine and fashion stylist Khirma Eliazov while in LA last week…Her line of luxury handbags is a little under a year old and has already been selected as one of “four buzzworthy entrants into the world of accessories” by WWD in April, 2009.
The collection of handbags are truly statement pieces!! The line uses a combination of luxurious and sometimes unusual exotic skins, including python and chagrin (stingray) together with the finest Italian leather. Her signature purple linings, originally designed hardware and attention to design detail is also apparent in the hand-woven handles.
